Pimoroni’s Inky Impression 5.7 utilizes E Ink Gallery Palette technology to deliver a saturated seven-color aesthetic without the power drain of traditional LCDs. It interfaces directly via the 40-pin GPIO header (compatible with Raspberry Pi Zero up to Pi 4) and features four integrated tactile buttons for user input. The display maintains its image indefinitely without power, making it an ideal low-energy solution for digital art frames, smart home dashboards, or shelf labels. With a Python library ready for deployment, developers can push high-contrast graphics and text to the 100 PPI screen in approximately 25 seconds per refresh.
