Managed Identities for Azure Resources

Managed identities eliminate credential leaks by providing Azure services with an automatically managed identity in Microsoft Entra ID.

This feature solves the secret management headache by stripping passwords out of your code. You get a service principal for your resource (like an App Service or VM) that authenticates directly with Entra ID. Use System-assigned identities for a 1:1 lifecycle match with a single resource, or User-assigned identities to share one credential across a scale set of 50 instances. It works natively with over 50 Azure services, including Key Vault and SQL Database, ensuring your connection strings stay clean and your GitHub repos stay secret-free.
